When your child is sick, keep them home.
Your child can return to school 24 hours after there is no longer a fever or signs of a fever without the use of fever reducing medication.  Keeping sick students at home means that they keep their viruses to themselves rather than sharing them with others.  A doctor's note will be accepted for an excused absence.

If you aren't sure if you child should stay home or attend school, you can refer to this chart provided by the Lenawee County Health Department:  Communicable Disease Reference Chart.

Your family physician can also guide you in regards to a decision to your child's school attendance.

Keeping your child in for recess
Our school policy states that in order for a student to stay indoors for recess, they must have a doctor's note that states that the student cannot go outside for recess.  Therefore, please make sure your child has a doctor's note, otherwise they will be going outside for recess.
